Arranged among the bougainvillea, frangipani trees, coconut palms and native ginger are the six enchanting one, two and three bedroomed joglos. All are air-conditioned, tastefully furnished and supplied with hot and cold running water and unlimited Wi-Fi. Fresh linens are provided, and the TV in each room uses chrome cast to link up with all your devices. At the heart of gardens, an inviting 16-metre swimming pool completes this tropical oasis.
Flexibility is one of Sejoli Villa’s greatest assets: individually, the joglos are perfect for couples and young families, but when booked together they can accommodate groups of more than 18 people in 9 bedrooms. Three of the joglos are self-contained with their own kitchens – one of which is large enough to cater for big groups, and the rustic timber-and-tile bar is a congenial spot to pull up a seat and enjoy a fresh coffee, simple breakfast or pool side snack.
Sejoli Villas is on Jalan Umalas II, down a pretty little whitewashed lane set back from the traffic. Although the setting still feels very rural, Seminyak’s Jalan Petitenget – home to many of Bali’s best restaurants and trendiest boutiques – is within easy walking distance, as is the lovely beach at Batu Belig, with its laid-back vibe and miles of golden sand. For a change of scene, hop onto a bike or hail a taxi and take a 10-minute drive to the cool cafés, hip health-food joints and buzzing beach bars of Canggu.
You will be warmly welcomed at Sejoli Villas by a team of staff whose priority is to make sure you enjoy your stay. They include an English-speaking villa manager, front of house reception, housekeepers, gardeners, maintenance and security. The property is also monitored by CCTV.
Sejoli Villas is special: it’s a place where you’ll feel instantly at home, make new friends and take away treasured memories of the magic of Bali.
